Solis S6 8kW dual MPPT single-phase inverter

The S6 8.0kW dual MPPT is the largest single-phase unit in the S6 dual-tracker line-up we stock. It suits installers maxing out a big domestic roof on a single-phase supply, with two trackers to split the array across two orientations.

Description

Eight kilowatts on one phase is a spec you reach for where a large roof and a single-phase supply meet, and the DNO application is part of the job anyway. The dual MPPT layout keeps a two-pitch or east-west array off a compromise single string, and the with-DC build puts isolation on the unit rather than in another enclosure on the wall. It sits in the same S6 single-phase family as the smaller DT units we list, so the fitting and commissioning routine your team already runs carries straight over. The price shown is the ex-VAT trade price and it does not move with volume.

What it pairs with

Commission it with a Solis data logging stick from our listings, such as the S2 Wi-Fi and LAN USB stick or the S1 Wi-Fi plus 4G cellular stick in its S6 USB fitting. For export limitation add the single-phase Export Power Manager with the Eastron single-phase meter, plus the 100 A current transformer listed for the S6 range. Check stick and meter fitment against Solis's current pairing list for your unit revision.

Single-phase only: above 3.68 kW this needs G99 approval before install, so build the DNO lead time into the programme. For anything this page can't settle, ask the trade desk before ordering or consult a competent installer.

FAQ

Solis SOL-8.0-S6-DT-DC buying questions

The ex-VAT trade price is the figure shown on this page, and VAT at 20% is added on the invoice. It is the same price whether you buy one inverter for a single job or several for the van, because we set no minimum order and no volume tiers. What you see on the page is what appears on the invoice.
It travels by parcel courier as standard, since there is no dangerous-goods handling involved with an inverter. Delivery in 3–5 working days (estimate). The dispatch clock starts at cleared payment. Book the install visit once the unit has arrived rather than against the estimate.
Out of stock at the last catalogue update, and the count on this page comes from the live stock feed rather than a manual list. In stock means in stock; if the number reads zero, the trade desk can tell you the restock position for this part number.
UK trade buyers with a verified account: limited companies verify with a Companies House number, sole traders with a UTR, MCS or scheme number. No trade minimums — one unit at trade price, no annual-spend tiers.
