Solis S5 Wi-Fi data logger, 4-pin
The SOL-S5-WIFI-4P is the Solis S5 Wi-Fi data logger with a 4-pin connection, and it connects on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks. It is the stick to specify when a Solis inverter will report over the property's Wi-Fi rather than a wired or cellular link.
Delivery in 3–5 working days (estimate). The dispatch clock starts at cleared payment.
Description
The useful part is the dual-band radio. Mesh systems and newer routers often favour 5 GHz, and a logger that only sees 2.4 GHz can turn a finished install into a return visit spent adjusting router settings. This stick connects to either band, so commissioning the monitoring is one job, done once. The 4-pin plug is a like-for-like swap on Solis inverters that take this style of stick, which also makes it an easy service-call fix for a dead or missing logger. It is small, light and inexpensive to hold, so keep a couple in the van.

What it pairs with
Fit it to Solis S5-series inverters such as the Solis 5kW S5 3-phase dual MPPT, where the 4-pin fitting lines up. S6 machines generally take the USB versions, such as the Solis data logging stick Wi-Fi and LAN USB, and for sites with no usable Wi-Fi the Solis data logging stick GPRS (GSM) covers the cellular route. Connector and firmware fit varies by model revision, so confirm against Solis's current pairing list before ordering.
Wi-Fi only: it needs a usable 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz network within reach of the inverter. The 4-pin connection does not fit inverters that take the USB-style stick, so check the socket before ordering. For anything this page can't settle, ask the trade desk before ordering or consult a competent installer.
